My name is Kavya Kopparapu, and I am the Founder and CEO of Girls Computing League and current senior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. I love to share my passion for computer science, as it has given me a world of opportunities and I would like to see other girls succeed.
My journey with computer science began in elementary school when I was first introduced to the Scratch and FLL Robot programming languages. I progressed into HTML website development and later Java and mobile app development. My interests in computer science were further strengthened during middle school when I attended the National Center for Women & Information Technology, Aspirations in Computing workshop held by TJ High school girls. As a freshman, I took the AP Computer Science plus Data Structures class at my school, and am currently continuing my computer science education in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision class.
